MAGUS Journey Traveller Agreement and Booking Conditions

Final payment date: Monday January 4th 2027  Company details: Magus Journeys is a trading name of  Skywalker Tours Ltd (“the Company”). Throughout this  Agreement, references to “Magus Journeys”, “we”, “us” and  “our” refer to Skywalker Tours Ltd trading as Magus  Journeys. 

1. Booking & Payment 

To secure your place on the journey, a non-refundable deposit of £1,000 per person is required at the  time of booking. 

The tour is offered at the following prices: 

Early Bird Price: £4,885 per person 

• £1,000 deposit on booking 

• Remaining balance due by 15 September 2026 

The Early Bird price is available only to travellers who book and pay their balance by 15 September  2026. Bookings confirmed after this date will be charged at the standard tour price. 

Standard Price: £5,345 per person 

• £1,000 deposit on booking 

• Remaining balance due by Monday 4 January 2027 

Returning Traveller Discount: £250 Travellers who have previously joined a journey with Magus  Journeys are eligible for a £250 discount. This discount may be combined with the Early Bird price  where applicable.

A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and written confirmation has been  issued by Magus Journeys. 

The tour requires a minimum of 9 participants to operate and places are subject to availability.  Participants should not book international flights until they have received written confirmation that  the tour is proceeding. 

2. Cancellation by Traveller 

If you need to cancel your place, written notice must be provided by email. The following cancellation charges apply: 

Cancellation received on or before 7 December 2026 

Loss of deposit (£1,000) 

Cancellation received between 8 December 2026 and 22 January 2027 (inclusive) 50% of total tour price 

Cancellation received between 23 January 2027 and 7 February 2027 (inclusive) 75% of total tour price 

Cancellation received on or after 8 February 2027 

100% of total tour price 

Please note: 

• The non-refundable deposit forms part of the cancellation charges above.  • Bank transfer and currency conversion fees are non-refundable.  

• No refunds can be given for unused services, missed activities, early departure, or late arrival.  • As places on this journey are limited and many costs are committed well in advance of departure,  these cancellation charges represent a genuine estimate of losses likely to be incurred by Magus  Journeys following cancellation. 

For this reason, comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, is mandatory. 

3. Travel Insurance 

All participants must hold comprehensive travel insurance covering: 

• Medical treatment and repatriation 

• Personal accident 

• Personal liability 

• Loss or theft of belongings 

• Trip interruption and cancellation 

• Travel within Egypt, including Nile cruising 

A copy of your insurance certificate must be supplied before departure.

We strongly recommend purchasing a policy that includes “Cancel For Any Reason” cover where  available. 

4. Health & Mobility 

This journey includes: 

• Extended periods of walking 

• Uneven ground 

• Temple steps and stairways 

• Boarding and disembarking river vessels 

• Entry into archaeological sites with restricted access 

• Accessing the interior of pyramids, including narrow passages and confined spaces Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically capable of undertaking the  activities included within the itinerary. 

Any medical conditions, mobility considerations, dietary requirements, or other circumstances that  may affect participation must be disclosed before booking. 

5. Accommodation 

The tour price is based upon twin-share accommodation (or double occupancy for couples  travelling together). 

Single occupancy is available on a limited basis and attracts a single supplement of £750. 

Please note that single occupancy will not be available aboard the dahabiya due to cabin limitations.  A single room would be available in Luxor, Abydos, Aswan, Giza. 

6. Flights & Travel Arrangements 

The tour price includes all transport within Egypt, including the internal flight from Aswan to Cairo. International flights are not included. 

Participants should not book international flights until receiving written confirmation that the tour  has met minimum numbers and is proceeding. 

Magus Journeys accepts no liability for flights or travel arrangements booked prior to written  confirmation that the tour will proceed. 

7. Behaviour & Group Harmony 

Our journeys are designed as shared small-group experiences.

We ask all participants to treat fellow travellers, guides, local partners, accommodation providers,  and sacred sites with respect and consideration. 

Magus Journeys reserves the right to remove a participant from the journey, without refund, where  behaviour is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or materially impacts the experience of other  travellers. 

8. Special Access & Itinerary Changes 

Many of the unique experiences offered during this journey rely upon permissions granted by local  authorities, archaeological administrations, religious custodians, and third-party suppliers. 

While every effort will be made to deliver the published itinerary, access arrangements,  accommodation, transport, guides, and scheduled activities may occasionally change due to  circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 

This includes private access to archaeological sites, temples, tombs, pyramids, and ceremonial  spaces. 

Where changes become necessary, we will seek to provide a suitable alternative wherever possible. 

No refund shall be due where changes are made in good faith for operational, safety, or regulatory  reasons. 

9. Force Majeure 

Magus Journeys shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such  failure arises from events beyond our reasonable control. 

These include, but are not limited to: war, civil unrest, terrorism, natural disasters, epidemics,  government restrictions, airspace closures, extreme weather, transport disruption, archaeological  site closures, or other extraordinary events. 

In the event of cancellation due to Force Majeure, Magus Journeys will endeavour to recover and  return any monies recoverable from suppliers. However, we cannot guarantee reimbursement of  sums already committed to third parties. 

Participants are strongly advised to ensure that their travel insurance provides appropriate cover for  such events.
