This was my second time doing the Egyptian tour with John, Mags and Ashraf.  It surpassed all expectations and I thought the first time was absolutely brilliant.  The addition of a few days cruising on the Nile added a different touch of Egypt; it was so peaceful and joyous after the exciting hustle of Luxor and the first full days of temple visiting.  The depth of information offered, the fun between whiles and the mix of history, astrology and Ashraf’s deep understanding of the Ancient Egyptians makes for a fascinating and lively mix.  The three leaders each bring their own personal touch and managed to create an intimacy in the group that meant we travelled through Egypt with a feeling of depth, wonder and rich dreaming.  The very special experience of having private access to the Sphinx, the great pyramid and a few other unique treasures makes the whole experience much more personal and less of a tourist whirl.  Totally magic from start to finish.  

John’s passion for the stars radiated through everything he shared, and even though I’ve never fully understood the night sky, his enthusiasm made it feel alive and within reach. His presence was felt by everyone — steady, warm, and quietly magnetic — the kind of presence that draws you in without ever needing to ask for attention.

Mags carried an energy that was both tender and powerful, meeting each person with a level of care that felt personal and wholehearted. She didn’t just support the group — she elevated it — bringing charm, flair, humour, and her full, authentic self into every moment. Her presence became the quiet heartbeat of the circle, guided by a beautifully expressed feminine essence that invited others to soften, open, and trust. She held space in a way that was both thoughtful and gently provocative, encouraging each of us to look inward and rediscover parts of ourselves we’d forgotten we were allowed to claim. In her company, the journey felt richer, more human, and somehow more our own.

Ashraf is a superb logistics organiser! Always keeping calm and sorting out tricky situations very discretely. As a guide, brilliant! charming! so knowledgable with such a depth of understanding and a palpable love of the Temples and Tombs, which he shared so willingly.

Mags’s love of creating ceremony, of anointing oils, of holding space …. were like a song weaving through the fabric of the tour. The ceremonial space was something to rest back into, and offered a light structure throughout the tour. A little more time to listen to silence in those very extraordinary places would have been welcome.  

I think John’s passion drew together a magnificent tour!  His depth and breadth of understanding and his enthusiasm were clearly and freshly transmitted. 

I love Johns, passion, enthusiasm and love for Egypt and the astrology of these ancient lands, it is infectious! His astrological knowledge is wonderful and he delivers it so well, even to someone who is not an astrologer, it is inspiring. 

Ashraf makes everything look so easy! His delivery, organisation, and knowledge of these beautiful temples are second to none! Even though he must have been in them hundreds of times, he is still in awe of them and that shines through on to us and lights us up too. He pulled out all of the stops to make this the most incredible journey for us, from the little secret areas to knowing the best times to go to the temples when they are quiet. He is a wise sage and I am grateful for all he shared with us. 

Aaah beautiful Mags, what a sacred space you created and held for us all. Your honesty and openness was inspiring and allowed us all to journey even deeper.

This Starlore tour far exceeded my expectations. Through John’s mythical and rich knowledge, and the sacred space created by Mags, I feel we truly embodied the genuine wisdom of ancient Egypt. Ashraf’s timing at each temple was nothing short of extraordinary; at most temples we visited, it felt as though we had private access. The flow and timing, aligned with major astrological events, felt so impactful to our journey. I cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone seeking an authentic, mythical dive into the heart of ancient Egypt.

The tour was beautifully organised! From the very start, I felt like I had a safe and solid container in which to travel, allowing me to really deepen my experience without having to worry too much about schedules. The pace was occasionally fast, but we were warned in advance, and I completely understand the reasons for it. When we were in Luxor, we also knew we would have some downtime on the Nile, which was appreciated.

This journey to Egypt was far more than a holiday — it was a truly profound trip of a lifetime experience! I knew it would be special, but I could never have imagined just how deeply moving, powerful and transformative it would be.

Visiting the temples and tombs was especially powerful; I felt a deep and unexpected sense of remembrance, as if something ancient within me was being gently awakened. Standing before such vast, timeless history was both humbling and awe-inspiring. Each day unfolded like a gift, filled with wonder, discovery, and a sense of connection that’s hard to put into words. There was a unique energy throughout the entire journey — in the places we visited, the moments we shared, and the memories we created — that I will carry with me always

Our guides, John, Mags, and Ashraf, were exceptional in every way. Their knowledge, wisdom, and heartfelt passion for Egypt shone through constantly, and their care and dedication elevated the experience into something truly meaningful and unforgettable.

I feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have been part of such a beautiful group, where everything seemed to flow in perfect harmony. This was not just a trip, but a soul-enriching experience that will stay with me forever.

I signed up for this trip on a friends recommendation. I wanted to visit and experience Egypt, but tours I looked at felt too touristy for me. I wanted to feel and experience ancient Egypt and all its delight. My goodness I got that and a whole lot more. It was such an adventure with a beautiful group of people. I was immersed in John and Mags passion and in depth knowledge of this ancient culture, its history and deep connection to Astrology. We vivited ancient sites, with private access at some, away from the crowds and were blessed with a local guide who shared their knowledge and passion. An incredible adventure and experience. I highly recommend it.
